Review of The Devil's Candy (2016) by João Miguel R — 22 Mar 2017
The Devil's Candy lacks power and punch (and some horror btw) to give more stars than 2,5/5. The highlights in this movie are the performances for sure. Ethan Embry and Pruitt Taylor Vince are very very good in their roles as disturbed father and schizofrenic serial killer, respectively - the same we can not say for the othes.
. sometimes they tend to go the ridiculous way. As horror movie (as its labeled) its not effective but it works really well as a familiar drama being possessed by the occult. And thats its truly good. The supernatural its not to much exposed only a small and effective presense .
. Not a bad movie by all means.
