Review of The Devil's Advocate (1997) by Jon C — 23 Nov 2014
Certainly one of Keanu Reeves' more stronger and eye-popping films.
Al Pacino plays the Devil with wit, charisma, and with slick value.
The movie is very twisted in its own right.
There's even an intense sex scene that really gets under your skin!
Kevin has a great reputation as a lawyer in Florida so when he's offered a chance to make lots of money in NY for a huge firm he takes his wife with him to make a better life and maybe even have a child soon after.
Of course, Kevin is unaware that his new boss is exploiting him as his own pawn.
It's a silent operation to bring out the rise of Satan.
Everyone can think what they wish of what the Devil is actually like but this movie really does the trick in presenting a suave, hidden story about a man that falls under the hands of the Dark One.
