This is one chick flick that got good feedback from both sexes. Although I never read the source novel, I wasn't feeling the story all that much. Maybe it was because it revolved fashion and female rivalry, but I just did not find it all that compelling.
It brought up some good themes regarding ambition, friendship and success, but it felt a little too shallow for my tastes. The acting was pretty strong, casting was well done. The script got pretty bland at times though.
Overall an okay picture.
