Stylish comedy about a nerdy woman becoming the assistant to a notorious fashion editor, loosely based on legendary Vogue editor Anna Wintour. The film has enough fashion sense to become a cult among all fashion enthusiasts.

It is also very entertaining, and a strong trend setter that would set off many other copycat comedies. The memorable potential of the film is aided by Meryl Streep in one of her most iconic performances as the Cruella de Vil like character and an intelligent script that make it one of the most generally appealing chick flicks to have been released in the first decade of the 21st century.
