Review of The Devil Wears Prada (2006) by Oliver W — 30 Sep 2018
The movie is a great example of amazing acting. Meryl Streep, who is famous for great acting, plays the main character, who almost reassembles an incarnation of the devil. She doesn't care about the people around her, she doesn't explains the things properly and just assumes everyone knows, what she is talking about.
Anna Hathaway also plays her character very good, she is shy, you almost have the feeling, she doesn't belong anywhere she goes. But in the end she almost seems like she could take the job of Miranda. Great Character development here.
The only problem with this movie, is that it is yet again getting down a topic that has been beaten to death by the movie industry and the media industry as well. It doesn't show creativity to just take a topic and putting it into a new context.
That for me gets the movie two stars away, but other than that I love it.
