Review of The Devil Inside (2012) by Loren C — 15 Jun 2012
There are a few quality horror movies out there; there are some average too; there are a lot crappy ones; many that are on the "so bad it's good" category; and others that don't even worth your time. Then, below about another 30 layers of crap you get something like "the devil inside".
The tried and true "found footage" style adds nothing to the movie, most scares are jump-scares, what they call suspense is closer to boredom and the stupid ending looks more like a forced afterthough after they realized they were out of time and money to give any kind of conclussion.
Actors are not to blame for this. Neither are the effects/make up people (these may not be top of the crop, but they are certainly doing a good job)... But their talent is wasted by the lack of imagination or common sense of the producers, scriptwriters and director... Sometimes I hate myself for being unable to quit on a movie once I started watching it.
