Review of The Devil Inside (2012) by Brandy B — 28 May 2012
Honestly, I thought this film was a documentary 'cuz it seemed so real! For instance, when the priest David was possessed and killed himself with a gun (right into his mouth). That scene was absolutely crazy as it made you feel like you were there with them! Besides, how Isabella bent over and knew what had happened between the priest Ben and his uncle.
Gees, there were four devils inside Isabella's mum, Maria. AND, the craziest thing was that those devils transfer to them, the four people who investigate in this case i.e. Isabella, her friend (and camera man) Michael, and two priests Ben and David.
Last time I watched The Rite (Anthony Hopkins was really really good!) and knew films like this could turn out tragic. Again, it was. Oh my! Is exorcisim so 'common/popular' in the West? And, is it how people who are possessed would react/do? (I guess somehow exorcisim also exists in most Asian cultures).
But this film is, simply, OK.
