I like Hotel Rwanda a lot better, but it's like that only documentary style and covering Sudan's genocide. The beginning was kind of confusing and boring, the subject matter is great though and I think it could've been told a bit better.

It definitely got more interesting and raw as it went on and some of the visuals are haunting. In any case, it got the main point across even if it isn't the best directing. I feel terrible for the brave Steidle and at one poignant point he lets his emotions show.

It makes me sick to my stomach that the power is in the hands of these "governments" who harm their own people instead of peacekeepers. Why are they not allowed to defend themselves or better yet why even have peacekeepers when it is just an illusion of peace (more like curtailing)? It doesn't make sense and it just encourages brutal violence because there are no consequences for the perpetrators.

The movie shows how far the world still needs to come and how the weight of the atrocities are too much to bear for just ordinary citizens or Steidle. This is why more people need to be involved in the free organization Save Darfur.

I don't know how Steidle kept his composer at the Holocaust Museum b/c I would have probably would have went after those hecklers in the crowd.
