I'm haunted by this doc. It was both inspirational and depressing. Who knows how great Johnston would have been if he hadn't gotten into the lsd? Or maybe if he hadn't he would have eventually been browbeaten into giving up his art.
It's hard to say. What inspired me was how absolutely driven he is to make art - at all costs, really.
