A good story of rising from difficulties, but I could think of many better people and topics that rose from such challenges and made more of an impact on reality. No offence, but I found his music not as entertaining and his paintings average, despite their rhetorical meaning and significance.
Buy if you are a Daniel Johnston fan, but rent or forgo it otherwise.
