Review of The Descent (2005) by Siarra F — 10 Jul 2011
One of the best horror films of the last several years, "The Descent" succeeds by providing personality and backstory to all of its characters, realizing that all of the gore and terror in the world can't make up for allowing the audience to care about who it happens to.
"The Descent" features great atmosphere and tension, allowing the suspense to naturally build up the story. It provides plenty of creepy and scary moments, avoiding a lot of the common horror movie mistakes along the way to become a fun, nerve-rattling ride.
8/10.
