Review of The Descent (2005) by Charlie D — 26 Jun 2012
Another amazing horror film from the 2000's. What can I say? The cinematography is excellent, you care about the characters, the actresses all do a fantastic job and when the scares kick in, shit truly hits the fan.
It has a fairly lengthy build-up; you finally see the monsters after 45 or 50 minutes, which may turn off some people. But as long as you don't mind some actual character development, you'll be good.
The payoff is more than enough to make up for the slow sections.
