Review of The Descent (2005) by Andrei E — 23 Feb 2013
Finally, a horror movie that treats female characters with the respect they deserve! If by respect, you mean, having them wield axes made of bones and fight monstrous creatures that come from Lord knows where...
The Descent was great in that its characters were believable and identifiable, its story was interesting and fun, and its monsters were threatening and scary as hell.
If you want a horror movie that's new and edgier than the ones you've already seen, check this one out, even if it relies on jump scares a bit too much.
