Review of The Descent (2005) by Pierre P — 31 Oct 2015
As far as horror thrillers go, this is the perfect popcorn-in-the-dark, edge of your seat experience. The film is perfectly balanced between the underlying tension the main character carries with her and the sudden jump-out-of-your-skin moments that crescendo towards a climax.
The fact that this horror film was elevated by an all female cast was refreshing, avoiding all those cliches we see in this genre. I also absolutely loved the ending.
