Acting is the highlight in this one. George Clonney is convincing as a man who has become someone that somehow a women would be unfaithful to for whatever reason. All jokes about how handsome he is aside, he really is wonderful in this role.
Newcomers to the big screen Shailene Woodley, Amara Miller & Nick Krause also all amazing. I do feel that some offbeat moments detract from the film's overall quality but none the less The Descendants is a sad, heart wrenching yet triumphantly beautiful story.
