Review of The Descendants (2011) by Adam A — 17 Sep 2012
Not sure about all the Oscar buzz. The Descendants is good, Clooney is solid but nothing to write home about. Shailene Woodley really steals the screen however with a performance that may have been the only thing about The Descendants that was Oscar worthy.
The cinematography is good and the storytelling flows smoothly (albeit a bit discombobulated at times) but it just isn't a movie that screams out OSCAR!
