George Clooney, even after all these years, has definitely remained one of my absolute favorite actors. "The Descendants" is yet another reason as to why. The film follows a man as he tries to hold everything together after a tragic boating accide.
T leaves his wife in a coma. Fist off, George Clooney absolutely nails it. His performance is so good that, at times, it doesn't even feel so much like a performance as it does a natural response. Another standout is easily Shailene Woodley, who does a fantastic job as the oldest daughter who has to be strong for everyone.
It's great to see her go from the hit television show "Monk" to something like this. The writing is pitch perfect, done in a way where everything comes off naturally. This was a fantastic film and I highly recommend it.
