The plot about the family's acreage was fascinating, and it contradicts the opening statement about how life in Hawaii is not 24/7 paradise. For Matt and his cousins, it sure seems that way. Alexander Payne is an excellent director, and Sid is one of the strangest characters I've ever seen.
