I saw the Hong Kong one and it was good but not great. After seeing this one it makes the Hong Kong one look like a masterpiece. Warner Bros did confirm that the movie is based on IA and IA 2, and if you watch some segments carefully, Scorsese does use a few things from IA 3.
I guess I just found the plot to be a bit convoluted and maybe it could had done better if they deleted half and hour of nonsense and made the action more dramatic and exciting. The abundance of swearing didn't help either.
I probably rent this movie again but not enough spark for me to buy it.
