Honestly how much more can u say about Scorsese... he's the best. Putting the cat and mouse concept into an incredibly well written criminal thriller remake . Martin Scorsese puts his signature touches such as violence, gangsters, and betrayal.
I don't really know how often movies can perfectly cast a movie but from Jack Nicholson's perfect performance of the crazy mob boss, Leonardo DiCaprio's demonstration of a depressive wannabe cop, and Matt Dammon's impressive acting chops that match his co stars this is one of those movies.
Not too mention the other charismatic actors I'm this movie including Alec Baldwin and Mark Walberg.
