Review of The Departed (2006) by Nicholas G — 24 Nov 2015

I'm very thankful that this movie came out because Scorcese won an overdue best director award even though he should have won for either Raging bull or Goodfellas.(Taxi driver featured some incredible competition that year especially from the movie Network but both Raging bull and Goodfellas were the clear winners in their respective year).

The departed features good performances from most of the cast involved. This is a cat and mouse game and a remake of the 2002 movie Infernal Affairs. The movie takes a lot of twists and turns and thus makes it a very fun unpredictable movie.

I would recommend this movie especially to those who love a good thriller.
