Although some might say it's one of the best gangster flicks ever made, Martin Scorsese's "The Departed" is indeed the American version of Hong Kongers Andrew Lau and Alan Mak's "Infernal Affairs" (2002).
So, in my opinion, it's unoriginal and arguably unworthy Oscar winner for Best Picture.
