Review of The Delta Force (1986) by Stephen C — 16 Oct 2011
Another slice of 80s action nonsense from Cannon films who kept most Video shops stocked in movies during the 80s.
Here Chuck Norris takes on Arab terrorists with the help of a grizzled Lee Marvin (Whos last film this was).
Every cliche is wheeled out here including George Kennedy as a preist ,loads of asides to the Jews on the hijacked flight and a blatant disregard to the arab cause.
The lead terrorist is played by Robert Forster who gets to chew loads of scenery as he carries out his terror plot.
The final third of the film is the best part with Chuck killing bad guys left right and centre and Marvin giving him enough free reign in order to do it.
The film is soo right wing its unreal and certain parts are so leaden you could nick it off a church roof.
But on the whole is a cracking action movie that just gets on and does its job.
