Take that, not-America! Ridiculous Chuck Norris actioner actually manages a few moments of genuinely intense (if heavy handed) suspense drama with a surprisingly distinguished cast, but as soon as Chuck and crew saddle up, it takes one preposterous turn after another into cheesy but extremely entertaining Reagan-era mayhem.
Alan Silvestri's hokey score seems to know what's up.
