Review of The Deer Hunter (1978) by Marty D — 25 Nov 2012
As a kid I thought this movie was too scary to watch so I never bothered. I also read some reviews of this movie saying it was not a good depiction of a war movie, well it has nothing to do with the war; it's about the friendship of five guys being together, growing up together where their lives take them.
It is a very moving emotional movie, strong characterization and heartbreaking effects that tells us there is nothing more important than friendship and love. I would definitely recommend this movie, it's a one of a kind.
