* Some incredibly powerful scenes.
* Overlong.
* Poor sound (I can't tell if it's the copy I saw, or the sound editing).
* Great cast.
* The director shows real warmth towards his characters.
* The non-Americans are given little attention, but this is a film about working-class Americans going to war, not about war itself.
