Review of The Deep End (2001) by Kathie H — 10 Jan 2008
Tilda Swinton is a first-rate actor. I don't understand why the gimcrack-addicted Cate Blanchett gets so much slavering press when Swinton is unquestionably the better choice for the parts Blanchett seems to get with a snap of her fingers.
Goran Visnjic is also underrated as a movie actor. He was great in Practical Magic & delivers a mesmerizing performance in a similarly quirky role.
