Review of The Deep End (2001) by Ulla A — 07 Apr 2008
My first exposure to Tilda Swinton, and luckily, not my last. It is nice to see her finally getting the attention she deserves. This is great contemporary noir, and the cool blue Tahoe setting adds to that moodiness.
Swinton is very convincing as the desperate mother with her back against the wall, and Goran Visnjic turns in a great performance as the villain (who knew?!). Highly recommended.
