Review of The Deep Blue Sea (2011) by Jane G — 14 Jul 2012
This is a vehicle for Rachel Weisz, a woman out of time and doomed, tragic, she was great. But the French audience kept laughing in places I didn't think were funny at all. And the scene on Aldwych tube station made me cry - but not the rest of the audience, who are not Londoners.
Don't look for laughs here.
