Review of The Deep Blue Sea (1994) by Alan W — 30 Nov 2011
There is no doubting the affecting and emotional performances by the main trio which is heartbreaking but my first experience of a Terence Davies film is as expected a slow, thoughtful and detailed portrayal of love and people in love.
A romantic tragedy if you will. Patience will be rewarded but sometimes it can border on indulgence. And I know it is his signature but one singsong is more than enough next time, ok Terry?
