Review of The Deep Blue Sea (1994) by Mark G — 04 Dec 2011
A wonderful study in human misery. The film retains the feel of a stage production; in a good way. The period is authentically evoked and the three main protagonists are beautifully acted. Rachel Weisz is so like Vivien Leigh.
Barber's Concerto for Violin and Orchestra was an inspired choice for the score. Such a shame that it is only getting shown in the indy's.
