Review of The Deep Blue Sea (1994) by Mary H — 15 Jul 2012
Try to name any better contemporary actor who can act better than Tom Hiddleston. You can't. He is terrific in this movie. Weisz was so good in the role of the lost, desperate woman in despair that it convinced me she was mentally ill.
I didn't like the story too much. Maybe I'm too shallow but this "I wasn't happy in my marrige so I'm gonna start a relationship just to find a reason to kill myself after my new boyfriend forgets my birthday" is just too pathetic for me.
