Review of The Debt (2010) by Dann M — 30 Dec 2011
Pretty damn compelling and the technique of revealing bits at a time are worth it. Each scene is used effectively and in this context the story becomes hard to swallow because such a villain and such stakes are implied.
Lies do not become us and neither losing sight of what's important. It's tragic to see where these characters end up and how much is lost, but what is gained in the end and what the audience cheers for is satisfied I must say.
Madden's direction is winning and the performances are perfect in what feels like a space collapsing upon itself as we, once again, get another picture of people affected by a war that left its mark on so many.
Don't let this thriling drama slip through your fingers and leave its mark on you.
