The guy behind the creature effects in this movie was the legendary Stan Winston. So its fair to say that the only reason this movie exists is to provide him with a little practice, even though the "Harvesters" look suspiciously like the Species alien. Anywho, as with many forgettable movies, this had so much potential, with a good story idea that provides plenty of excuses for all the things that make a horror movie great. But, ultimately, it was unnefective.
