Review of The Deaths of Ian Stone (2008) by Tuna C — 01 Mar 2010
A few interesting things are going on here, and the ending is pure intentionally funny horror camp, but The Deaths of Ian Stone goes from Groundhog Day-as-horror to Dark City, and The Matrix and it just loses some of what it had going for it.
Doesn't help that the low budget makes for some dreadful monster costumes and effects. The performances aren't half bad though, and there are some good creepy bits. Overall though, it's a failed enterprise, worth watching if you're into the After Dark Horrorfest series or just want a quick, easy fright.
