Review of The Death of "Superman Lives": What Happened? (2015) by Mloy X — 24 May 2016
Sylvain Despretz: Highly creative people have a hard time getting their movies made. Full stop. That's all it is. Because they bring stuff that blows everyone away, and as much as the claim is they want something.
Original, they're terrified of it. That's what happens. So, you don't see those movies because they scare everybody up the chain of command.
Wow this was a really interesting documentary on what would have been in my humble opinion the worst incarnation of Superman- crisis averted. Thankfully the massive egos connected (no offense to Kevin Smith- I love him) with this projected sunk it before it could even see the light of day. But seriously, the documentary was amazing, the ideas the production crew had for the suit was ingenious but the story was for sh*t, that's what really killed this project... that and Nick Cage. Sorry, I can't see him doing for Superman what Michael Keaton did for Batman or RDJ. did for Ironman. And thankfully, I will never have to.
