Review of The Death of Stalin (2017) by Tony19 — 28 Jun 2018
Darkly funny take on the crisis in Stalinist Russia after the death of the main man. Decades of political terror have made even the highest officials to frightened to voice dissenting thoughts, sometimes even in their own minds.
Real events are very simplified - it should be read as symbolic rather than a literal. For example secret police chief Beria is used to symbolise all manner of evil things that he was not literally responsible for.
But that is just artistic licence and works well.
