Review of The Death of Mr. Lazarescu (2005) by Erin M — 25 Mar 2008
A strangely compelling yet quite depressing film. I'm still trying to figure out why this is described, for the most part, as a "black comedy"; there's little humor here as we watch this poor guy get shunted from ER to ER in search of a hospital that will be bothered with him.
Very good performances... we really find ourselves hoping that, despite the title of the film, this guy will make it...
