Review of The Dead Zone (1983) by Ricardo V — 17 Oct 2007
Good film. it's cronenberg but at his least gory self. it's a good film with great performances by brooke adams who I am a huge fan of, her roles in 'invasion of the body snatchers' and 'days of heaven' are some of my favorites and I really find her appearance and onscreen persona to be pleasing.
chris walken is basically being himself in the movie, u can't hate on something like that. the man is just an interesting dude to watch move and speak. martin sheen comes out as a Barlett and he does a pretty good job playing an A-hole, the film is nothing fantastic, but it doesn't make mistakes either.
the pacing is slow and deliberate which is a plus, the acting is fine, the screenplay is fine, it's a good stephen king adaptation.
