Icy, cerebral horror in which Cronenberg ditched pulsating pustules, exploding heads and gastric vaginas in favour of something more, well, elegant. There's still a good scissor / mouth interface and a creeping sense of frustration and loss that sets it apart from most King adaptation.
Funny that a film about clairvoyance should allow Walken to make reference to the Legend of Sleepy Hollow and portray Martin Sheen as the future president of the United States...
