Review of The Dead Zone (1983) by Jon P — 21 Feb 2013
David Cronenberg's first mainstream release explores the social, moral and political implications associated with psychic premonition. Pacing problems and befuddled clarity cause Cronenberg's film to feel a little inaccessible to those unfamiliar with Stephen King's novel, but the movie is an influential classic in its own right and its final act is a suspense-shattering blast.
Tense psychological chiller that dealt with the interfering of fate long before the likes of Final Destination.
