Review of The Dead Zone (1983) by Saumojit G — 24 May 2013
The dead zone is a solid film. It doesnt seem to cliche either with the different plot points, some things turned out different than I had suspected, that is rare to see. I could not help but feel for Walken's character.
He wakes up to lose everything, but gain something incredible and no one will understand it. I think that has to be one of the worst things that could happen to somebody. But I like the character because he made something out of it.
The build up definitely felt more novel based than film based, which was nice for a change. Good 80's sci fi thriller, no one should consider this a horror.
