Review of The Dead Zone (1983) by Todd C — 15 Nov 2008
I was disappointed with this stylish but superficial adaptation of The Dead Zone. The relationship between John and Sarah seemed very fake, and that was the heart of the novel. In the novel, the tragedy of John and Sarah seemed very real and heartbreaking. Here, it's just forced, superficial, and unsatisfying. This movie has no heart.
Michael Kamen's score is surprisingly dull.
