Review of The Dead Pool (1988) by Thomas C — 14 Aug 2007
The fifth and final film in the Dirty Harry series... and its a shame they had to end it this way. It seems as though they made this film just for the sake of making it. A stunt coordinator directed it and unfortunately when that happens all you get is over the top stunts.
The villain falls completely flat and isnt threatening at all. Theres also a lot of pink lighting for some damn reason. I love Harry Callahan but I wish the series didnt end on this note. It kind of reminds me of Rocky V.
I know Clint is getting old but maybe hell pull a Stallone and hopefully make a better one (even though we know it wont happen, but we can wish). But at least it has Liam Neeson and a cameo by surprisingly, Jim Carry.
Oh, also the plot is completely weak. Oh and the music sucks. Its still somehow watchable though, but Dirty Harry should stay in the 70's. I still love the series!! LONG LIVE HARRY CALLAHAN.
