Review of The Dead Pool (1988) by Richard L — 16 Mar 2010
The last of the Dirty Harry movies has some unavoidable similarities with the previous ones, such as an ethnic assistant that ends up in an hospital and some clumsily-led attempts at humor. It is not as predictable as the others and it has some interesting takes on the media.
However, it feels ill-defined, as the usual police/western mix is not as obvious as in previous Dirty Harry movies, but includes police, suspense, and comedy genre elements that do not always fit well together.
