Review of The Dead Pool (1988) by Bruno V — 07 Jun 2014
The fifth and final Dirty Harry film is serviceable enough, even if it is pretty much by the numbers. Clint's on screen charism is enough to carry the film by itself, but it's also helps that you have a solid supporting cast of soon to be famous Liam Neeson, Patricia Clarkson and Jim Carrey, a good score by Lalo Schifrin.
But on the downside, this film lacked the grit and toughness of the previous films. This film seemed more jus tgoing through the paces and not trying all that hard, with the exception of an RC car chase scene.
Maybe they jinxed themselves by making this the only Dirty Harry film that Albert Popwell didn't appear in.
