Review of The Dead Next Door (1989) by Chris S — 28 Mar 2012
Sorry I didn't get this review up last week, it completely slipped my mind. But my friend reminded me about my lack of review for this movie, so here I am to give it all to you. Now I'm not one to search out movies, but I'm willing to watch any movie recommended to me, with an open mind. My friend ThirdMan's eclectic taste in movies has allowed me to review numerous titles. But ThirdMan also loves his zombie movies, I have no problem with this, I like horror in general and don't mind adding zombie movies to the list of horror movies I've seen.
This is a fan made zombie film that may not be a great movie, but you can see that the love is there. The acting may be bad, and the story may not be fully realized. But this movie still has fun, and tries to do its best. This movie isn't some studio garbage that got put out to make a buck. I think any zombie or horror fans should check this movie out and give it a chance.
(A little public service announcement.) Just cause you like some movies of a genre doesn't make you a fan, you must try to expand your knowledge of a genre to many movies from that genre before you can consider yourself a fan. I have yet to consider myself a fan of any genre, unless Halloween can be a genre, I think I've seen enough movies from that to consider myself a fan. This may seem odd to add to my entry, but it would a been more powerful at the time this review would have been released. Anyway, I'm doing it now just to do it, and to make this review slightly longer.
