A surprise small film for the year. It really holds quite an impressive cast (majority female) and allows all to shine. Rose Byrne, Mary Beth Hurt Brittany Murphy and Toni Collette are all top shelf, but once again Marcia Gay Harden proves she is one of today's greatest working drama actresses.
She is gut wrenchingly wonderful. Is that a good thing? Who knows. I didn't find myself into the film by the start but by her scenes with the great Kerry Washington I was totally into this film. A beautiful film that deserved far more attention.
