Review of The Dead (2010) by Robin T — 16 Sep 2011
Not totally centered on explosions and slow motion decapitations but rather a survival movie set in an already tough place. Add zombie outbreak to that and you get a pretty intelligent movie, quite unlike the usual zombie horror.
Some might feel like the main characters are a bit detached, but I wouldn't have it any other way. My logic being that you can only say OMFG so many times...eventually most people deal with the situation they're in.
