Review of The Dead (1987) by Steve M — 12 Sep 2007
I'm a literary lovin' guy, and no filmmaker worked more with literary source than John Huston. Joyce is my favorite writer. Huston is my favorite filmmaker. This movie was a fitting final film.
The scene of Greta on the stairs listening to D'Arcy sing the Maid of Aughrim is a real soul tickler. The closest anyone's come to catching JJ on film.
